As your Clerk of Court and Judge of Probate, Terri has a strong work ethic and extensive legal and leadership experience that has served Terri well as the Elected Clerk of Superior Court. Proven effectiveness makes her the right person to continue to serve the people of Craven County as the Elected Clerk of Superior Court well into the future.

  • In October, 2012 appointed as Clerk of Superior Court by The Honorable Benjamin G. Alford, Senior Resident Superior Court Judge in the 3B Judicial District
  • In November, 2014 elected to a four-year term as Clerk of Superior Court for Craven County.
  • Terri speaks to groups in the area to educate them about duties and responsibilities of the Clerk of Court
  • She leads an office team of 28 assistant and deputy clerks
  • Serves as the Judge of Probate presiding over hearings in estate and trusts proceedings and competency matters, guardianships, foreclosures, and land partitions, among other things
  • Processes all court-related business, including, administration and keeper of the records
  • Serves as Comptroller of all court funds (more than $7,000,000 per year in receipts and disbursements with clean state audits)
  • Associated with the legal field for more than 35 years.

  • Represented clients in estate planning and fiduciary law, wills, elder law, guardianships, competency matters, foreclosures, land partitions, and real estate transactions.
